After 16 months of delays from the employer, IUE-CWA is ecstatic to announce that a unit of just over 100 workers at Momentive Technologies in Strongsville, OH have won their union election! . The workers at Momentive manufacture advanced materials for use in semiconductors and EV vehicles. The election took place in August of 2023 with a 1 vote margin in favor of the Company. It took over a year to determine if 15 challenged ballots would be opened. Eventually the Board ruled that 11 of the 15 would be opened and counted, and on Jan. 6th, 2025 the votes were counted in the worker's favor.
