New scholarship information and applications will be available starting December 15!
A small bit of good came from the unfortunate closing of IUE-CWA Local 627 with the establishment of a scholarship for high school seniors in Marion County, West Virginia, which was where our Phillips Lighting plant was located.
The IUE-CWA/Circle W Scholarship will make an award of $400 (a total of $1,200) for up to three high school seniors a year. Once awarded, monies are paid directly to the school. Students can be going to a trade school, university or college. Any Marion County high school senior may apply but preference will be given to children of former IUE-CWA members.
